What is a marketing strategy?

It’s the roadmap and guide for you and your business to follow and refer to regularly – a live document which provides a solid reference point and gives clarity that you can use to sense-check decisions, plan your resources and budget. It is your long-term game plan.

Without a strategy, you will likely be burning up a lot of energy and money in the wrong areas, being inconsistent and erratic with your messaging, visibility, branding and offerings, and failing to get the results you want. A strategy gives clarity around your objectives, your voice, your customer, your product or offering and the competition. Crucially, your Marketing Strategy informs your Marketing Plan (the foundational partner to your strategy) which is focussed on execution – the ‘how’ you deliver the strategy and MEASURE THE RESULTS.
